What This Work Is About
This convening built on BWTEotR’s ongoing work to identify, elevate, and advance employer practices that improve recruitment, training, retention, and advancement in healthcare careers.
Through the Employer Best Practices Assessment, we are gathering insights from healthcare employers and workforce partners about what is working, what needs to evolve, and what support is needed to create stronger, more inclusive career pathways.
The goal is clear: build healthcare workplaces where Black women can enter, grow, lead, and thrive.
Event Highlights
During Thriving Together, participants engaged in conversations about:
- Recruiting and retaining skilled healthcare professionals
- Creating clearer pathways into healthcare careers
- Improving job quality, scheduling stability, and workplace supports
- Building stronger partnerships between employers, workforce programs, and community organizations

These conversations will help shape the next phase of BWTEoTR’s workforce development work.
